Independent. Impartial. Built on real industry experience.

Rob Richards has spent over 18 years inside the engine room of UK FMCG transport — from warehouse operative to Transport Manager — at Hovis, Allied Bakeries (Kingsmill), and Tesco's Dagenham chilled distribution site, one of Europe's largest, running around 300 deliveries a day to 500+ stores.

He's been the DVSA Earned Recognition site champion, led health & safety investigations and risk assessments, and holds the Transport Manager CPC qualification.

He's also a qualified HGV driver — and still drives today, so every audit is grounded in what's actually happening on the road, not just on paper.

Because UK Fleet Audit has no ties to any operator, fleet, or maintenance provider, every audit is genuinely independent — an honest, accurate picture of where your operation stands, with no conflicts of interest.

Our Ethos

Compliance shouldn't be something you find out about the hard way.

We believe every operator deserves the truth about their own operation — not a watered-down version, not a sales pitch, and not guesswork. Just an honest, independent assessment, delivered by someone who has actually done the job, not just studied it.

We don't work for DVSA. We don't work for the Traffic Commissioner. We work for you — and that means our only loyalty is to the evidence in front of us.

Good compliance isn't about ticking boxes. It's about knowing — really knowing — that your operation is safe, legal, and built to last. That's what we're here to give you.

Making You Compliant.

What does an audit actually check?

We assess up to 245 criteria across 10 key areas — from operator licensing and transport manager standards through to vehicle maintenance, driver hours, tachograph management, and walkaround checks. Every audit is tailored to your fleet size and licence type, and ends with a clear report showing exactly where you stand.
